I understand that many people have sacrificed significantly so that I may benefit from living in our free land. Furthermore, I realize that the greatness of the United States of America is derived from its concerned and involved citizens who contribute to the public welfare by extending themselves so that needy people and/or causes are addressed. Therefore, I solemnly promise to assist my nation and humanity by performing community service so that I will demonstrate my commitment to my precious American heritage.
